Small Observation About Ott Aggregators

Watcho: It is available in most platforms but not on lg and Samsung
* No proper explanation of which app support how many devices etc
* Bad UI
* No proper English content apps other than lionsgate play
* No proper southern state apps they dominate even have SunNxt😂
*The best part is their flexi plans

But watcho is good interma features like profiles , age rating (they are providing Netflix like age rating for profiles )

Tataplay Binge :
*Good App Catalog
*Avg UI
*No Profiles, General Parental Controls
*Some times glitches when redirecting other apps very rare but issue is there (this is same for mostly all aggregators)
* The most fun part is it doesn’t have support for apple tv , lg , Samsung Ofcourse this have small market but when u combine them they newly 30% market share in CTV
And TataPlay Binge Is Expensive Service So They Are Basically Targeting Higher value subs. Who are basically using this high end lg , Samsung tv and apple tv users who are basically higher value subs I don’t why they are not thinking like that
* No proper forward , backward

OttPlay :
*Average app
*Missing Hotstar 😂
*Doesn't Have App For Tablets , ipad
* Ui looks good not super but good
*worst part more load time it loads and loads and loads even Internet connection is good
* Provides some niche apps like tastemade, hallmark movies

Airtel xstreamplay :
Simple airtel is not even interested in it
If they are really interested they can simply increase their app catalogue
*Bad UI
*Just because they are bundling with postpaid and broadband people may use it otherwise it is not worth

Amazon prime & Apple Tv App
:
They are not much not interested in India
If they add all major apps they will get good market share easily even if they didn’t launch bundled prices because of their good Ui

Yupptv scope :
It is just their 😂
Disagree on the Airtel XStream Play OTT part....1stly XStream Play OTT platform is providing around 20+ OTT apps that too at just Rs. 149 per month, Rs. 1499 annually and there is 3 month plan tooo ...not only this but by subscribing to any of this variant customer can enjoy watching content on any device (Smart TV, DTH Box, Smart Stick, Website, Mobile) unlike Tata Play Binge where in their starter plan one can only watch content on mobile.

Now coming to variety of content again XStream Play OTT surely needs to improve on providing niche content vut as far as mass oriented hindi + regional language content + sports catalogue is concerned again it is extremely good + diverse....remember in India both niche + mass oriented content is needed for an OTT platform to reach large audience base and earn maximum revenue , while niche content has smaller audience base but it generates more ARPU while mass oriented content caters to vast audience base but ARPU is lot less .

As far as User Interface + Navigation is concerned again Airtel XStream Play Platform scores very good on this front

Not only Airtel but all OTT platform partner with various companies to provide their content to wider audience hence again if they r bundling XStream Play subscription with their mobile, broadbnd, DTH and Airtel Black Combo Plans then again it is a good thing to expand user base while it also adds value to concerned plan offering..... Be it Airtel, Tata or Jio all companies try to leverage the potential of each of their businesses to work out a growth model for each of them, this is called strategic business planning to scale up performance of each segment

You can refer to below articles for more understanding on Airtel's Strategy for XStream Play App and its current performance report....currently they r looking at expanding more regional content space

:ROFLMAO: Nothing They can't expanding regional space without integrate Hotstar and Zee5 content in Xstream Play app.

Is sports section of Sony LIV still pixelated? I recall sports being unavailable. Even when it became available. It's just unwatchable.
No it's not pixelated and the content is now very much watchable than before

Yes Sony LIV content is no longer available on Tata Play Binge. They have even mentioned the same in their support section.

I had subscribed to Binge on 14th November and it had created the dummy login for Sony LIV smart TV app for premium content but after the removal of Sony liv from Binge, even the dummy login expired and premium is no longer accessible even before the 1 month expiry of Binge plan. So even if I had taken the annual plan I wouldn't have secured the annual premium access to Sony LIV after their agreement expired.

Already Disney+Hotstar Super Plan is available as part of add on to XStream Play subscription at just additional Rs. 50....so in Rs. 199 one can get all of the above content.

Zee5 app content was earlier part of XStream Play OTT subscription but was dropped sometime in 2021 , it will surely get readded soon alongwith other OTT apps.

Still Airtel XStream Play OTT subscription is the most affordable option and offers great range of content across genres/apps. Soon Airtel might launch different variants of XStream Play subscription plans thereby expanding its content portfolio by adding new apps content and offering various customised language/genre based plans to customers....more of hindi+ regional + premium content will be part of it.

Also Airtel is soon launching separate Live TV Channels app which again is likely to offer many other services + content. Another great thing is that Airtel offers complimentary subscription to XStream Play app with its various broadband, mobile, DTH plans thus giving its customers access to wide range of content free of cost or later renewal at huge discount

They should include Zee5 and Sun NXT in Rs.199/-OTT bundle like Jio fiber.
