50 is my first choice but i really like one thats 48 inches and everyone's been telling me you cant tell the difference between 48 and 50. Also i checked both the tv's and i feel 48 had better looks and pq is better too than 50 inches one so i'm leaning towards that right now.

Go for 48" model. You will not see noticeable difference. I am also using 48" Sony LED. Its awewome. Its android TV btw.

Since you are using 50” currently, I think you should upgrade to a bigger screen, go for Sony 55”.

You will definitely observe the difference even 2 inches small.because it is not just comparison,its daily view,so your eyes already got some illusion about your 50 inch TV size and Viewing.so small size makes difference.
better go with same or bigger,not smaller.
