This is what I said previously. We need to recharge the pack instead of requesting debit the pack amount.

With the discontinuation of popular validity extension plans like ₹44 (Deepam) and ₹49(Mithram) which offered 180 days validity, the minimum spend to extend validity is ₹74 for 90 days. It is bundled with some data and call benefits which has a validity of 15 days.
Now the minimum spend per month (28 days) has come to ₹23 from just ₹7.

Some fun facts of the above tariff
1.If you opt for ₹186 plan you get UL call & 2 GB/day for 28 days. But if you think you would get something extra by paying ₹1 more and opt ₹187 STV you got wrong. For STVs you need to buy a validity extension voucher to enjoy the benefits. The cheapest voucher for this is worth ₹74 (90 days). So total cost for 28 days becomes ₹210 for the same benefits of ₹186 plan.
2. STV ₹149 gives UL calls for 28 days whereas STV ₹99 gives UL calls for 20 days, which roughly translates the per month (28 days) cost to ₹139. So it's better to opt the short validity STV.
Simply ethicless.
