Yes, i faced that issue on airtel few years back. It is airtel only which has this issue.

You did SIM swap, right? Or there was some special kind of free upgrade offer?

I filled the form on their office and asked to swap SIM with new 4G one.

Upgraded 1 3G Sim to 4G, Also purchased two New Sim's got 10GB on all 3.
