Play will start on time. That is another good news. We have 98 overs scheduled to be bowled in the day. Here are the revised playing conditions - First session: 09:30am - 11:45am. Second session: 12:25pm - 02:40pm. Third session - 03:00pm - 05:00pm.

Why can't they reduce lunch time to 30 mins on matches like that as normal people eat lunch in max 20 min. Plus there should be flexibility in matches related to no of days on match affected by rain should be introduced by icc if there is enough gap between two matches to make test matches more interesting take this match for eg we have two days abandoned due to rain and bad ground conditions why can't they add extra 1 day instead of 98 overs a day as next match is scheduled on 7th oct that's 8 days from now that too in mp which is just 1 to 2 hours away from kanpur by flight even by road max 10 hours giving both the team a chance to have match result instead on dull boring draw which is more than a certainty

It requires a lot of logistics and security arrangements to conduct matches in India.

I'm not talking about india only i said test matches in particular
That's what i am also saying. You can't randomly decide to extend the match by 1 day.The security guys on duty are pulled from other works for the match.Unless it is predecided well in advance that there are chances of match extending by a day,the home ministry of that particular state won't agree for it.You see Police have got other jobs to do too and are massively understaffed.

BCCI always boost that we have so many stadiums in our country then why not change the scheduled match to other ground in the country... in todays day and age its very easy to know forecast of the weather prior in advance so they can check and change the venue of that particular match... ICC should also look into rain effected ODIs matches rather then reducing overs they can straight keep 25 overs game per side it eliminates any advantage to any particular team.
