9 Hundreds scored by Kohli in just 36 innings while leading the side - the joint second most for any Indian skipper. He is on level with Mohammad Azharuddin who has nine hundreds from 68 innings at the helm. Only Gavaskar (11 in 74 innings) has more while captaining India.

1.14 Conversion rate for Kohli - 16 hundreds to 14 fifties. Among players with at least 10 Test hundreds, only Don Bradman with 2.23 (29 hundreds/13 fifties) and George Headley with 2.00 (10 hundreds/5 fifties) has a better conversion rate.

130 balls taken by Kohli to his century is his second fastest in terms of balls faced after the 129-ball hundred against New Zealand in Wellington in 2014.

Virat Kohli has at least one Test hundred against each of the seven teams he has played against (Australia, Bangladesh, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies). He hasn’t played against Pakistan and Zimbabwe.
