Some guys have routed phones with locked to higher band can show 50+ mbps speeds in their speed test screen shots😆
If you are talking about me, my phone is fully stock & not rooted... 😂 😂

I do that experiment always with my Samsung phone but since my main phone is an Huawei phone & Huawei/Honor no longer allows unlocking the bootloader,so no rooting or custom roms are possible on my handset...

Maybe I get higher speeds because my phone is 5CA enabled...

When I was in Dooars few years ago, I didn't have any tower on Jio because there was no jio tower
Jio came here in my village about 2 year ago (late-2017)
Airtel brought 4G services first (2016), then Idea, then Jio, last Voda.

Here we don't even get BSNL in 2G, the tower (installed in 2011) stays dead 5 out of 7 days of a week. Complained about BSNL & JIO tower so many times, still no action.

I know complaining to BSNL's CC is totally useless...They have the worst customer care among all the providers...I ported out one of my extra Airtel numbers to BSNL last year & even though I had full DND activated in AirTel, after porting out to BSNL, I get almost 10+ spam messages & calls daily from unknown numbers...I have complained about this multiple times to 1909 which is the universal DND helpline of all operators & everytime they give me generic replies & ask me to wait...Because of too many unwanted promotional calls & messages everyday, I am now being forced to keep the phone in always silent mode as I am now sick-n-tired blocking unwanted incoming call numbers...It seems to me BSNL shares the numbers of their customers to everywhere like no other provider...

The day in day out message form bsnl is

Bat karna hai tumse call Karen 98####...
Tum mujhe pasand ho. Bast Karen ke liye ish no pe call kijiye :p
They should have completed the sentence also...

Tum mujhe pasand ho. Baat Karen ke liye ish no pe call kijiye aur prati minute 10 rupees BSNL ko dijiye...

Those who recharged 199 plan previously have to pay just 20 more (219 plan). No matter whether the offering is 1GB/day or 1.5GB/day unless they are data hungry ones. If they are willing to pay 399, can avail UL pack at 199/ month(As of earlier).
I agree on this. Effectively one may say there is no hike, or no significant hike.
Before hike: Rs 199 plan gives 1.5GB/day for 28 days
After hike: Rs 399 plan gives 1.5GB/day for 56 days (equates to be the same).

The real losers are those who took 1GB/day plan (Rs 169 for 28 days is now gone, and Rs 399 for 84 days is now Rs 599 with no 1GB option). Having said that, the reports are out stating the hike is not enough for sustainability. Public demand outlives the Corporate expectations.

Airtel have more spectrum than Jio in higher bands after shutting down 3G. So they can provide higher speeds. But VodaIdea fails to use their combine spectrum for higher speeds than any provider.
In circles where the integration is complete, the speed of Vodafone-Idea is really awesome. These are mostly C circles like Assam, Bihar, etc. I was in Assam where Idea's network has been shutdown and the spectrum has been integrated with Vodafone, the speeds were like 30Mbps on a railway station. Same with Punjab. Punjab does have a poor Vodafone-Idea coverage but speeds are really good.

Now in my home circle of UPE, Vodafone was the undisputed king here. However, the integration is going on very slowly and the network is suffering.

Whatever you say about Vodafone but before the merger, they did have most top class network in circles where they were leaders.

Vodafone's network is very good in Kolkata too...That's why I have been using both AirTel & Vodafone in my dual-sim phone...After AirTel, Vodafone is my 2nd choice of network...But Vodafone's customer care sucks big time...Even on FB & twitter they always send copy-pasted robotic replies without even reading the comments...All of these are good until you need to call customer care & when you will try to explain a technical issue to them, you will understand that none of these customer care people knows anything about the technicalities of their own system...Our questions are always like "out of syllabus" questions for them...
