i think we have time till December/Jan to link this.. why this hurry..?

nd more over its india, by the time its December, this rule may get reversed.!

b/w my mothers sim got the msg to link aadhar which was taken back in 2006.
my number didn't received any msg which took in 2009

Impossible for the rule to get reversed as it is imposed by Supreme Court and Govt also supporting it. So on one hand you cannot go to court and on the other hand you cannot ask govt to challenge court order.

Sorry bro, there is no Supreme Court Order to link Aadhaar no or verify mobile number with aadhar card. It's just Indian Govt's order.

What Supreme Court said:

"Supreme Court said in last February that all phone numbers in India should have verified users. The court said this during a hearing on a case brought by Lokniti Foundation, a non-profit organization. Although the Supreme Court stopped short of saying that Aadhaar has to be used to verify users."

And what Govt did:

The government seems to have decided that linking the unique identity number to mobile connections will be the best way to go about this. A meeting was held on 13.02.2017 in the department with the telecom industry wherein UIDAI, Trai and PMO representatives also participated to discuss the way forward to implement the directions of Hon’ble Supreme Court,” said the notification issued by DoT. Any unverified mobile phone number, or any number that is not linked to Aadhaar, will be illegal after 6 February 2018. The government has directed telecom companies to intimate their existing subscribers about the re-verification process through all means possible, including through advertisements in newspapers and text messages. The licensees have also been directed to send a “verification code” to the mobile numbers of subscribers to ensure that SIM cards are physically available with the subscribers before initiating the e-KYC process.

Now the actual ruling of SC on Aadhaar

The Supreme Court previously said in an interim ruling that the use of Aadhaar should not be mandatory in delivering government benefits. Hearings in the case and a final ruling are still pending. The legislation that conferred statutory status on the Aadhaar project too said its use wouldn’t be mandatory.

And now this scenario ---
This can be easily challenged in court by any Indian Citizen as the decision to make aadhaar mandatory is still pending in the Supreme Court.

May be in future after SC make Aadhaar as mandatory for all schemes, this cannot be challenged. But as of now this decision can be challenged.
In my personal opinion using aadhaar is for various scenarios is good.

Yeah ur right

But i won't postpond any work that's why .. I'll finish all work by IN time

..

ya bro.. you would be able to finish in time..

you have time till feb 2018.

I faced this issue earlier..

i had two airtel numbers and when I added them under one main account in my airtel app, Airtel opened two airtel app accounts (one for each number). I didn't know this as i was not using airtel money app.

When one day I wanted to use the Airtel money, there was a freeze imposed as I had two accounts with different numbers but same personal details. Had some heated arguments and email exchanges and couple of months later, all is good now.

And NO i will not go and get my aadhar verification done until they freeze my number.

And moreover, I think it's for prepaid users as one can buy sim card just like that. For a postpaid connection, you need to get your address verified first and then it gets activated!

Why many are not liking Airtel payment bank??

Am I missing something??

But they are opening it without the customer's permission which is wrong and due to same reason I am not linking my mobile numbers with adhaar card:dodgy
