Discussion Airtel IPTV has more cons compared to Airtel DTH?

Hi.Why everyone is going for iptv
Only positive thing is u don't need to install dish and no problem with the cable and weather
Do u get better picture quality ....NO
Do u get any extra channels....No
Do u get 4K Channel with 50 FPS...No
Do u get any discount..No
Can u modify the package like dth like ncf with any add ons....No

I don't understand the logic of getting iptv in place of dth.

Can Iptv really compete with dth?

Anyone can correct me if iam wrong...

You are wrong.

You can add and remove whatever channels you want.
Discount is that it’s part of black package.
Regarding PQ the people using it can only confirm as it’s a subjective thing


IPTV is a new technology and as and when it advances more features would be added and it would be refined

Bro yes u are right more features can be added but when will they provide is the question. When eveyone goes for it they will never introduce especially airtel they are very cunning.I don't think u can change the package to ncf + channels u like that will be more benificial,in iptv u have to pay extra for the channels u add u don't have liberty to adjust to Rs 350 + Gst.
Anyone using iptv can confirm this.

Bro yes u are right more features can be added but when will they provide is the question. Off course you can add whatever channels you want to meet the ₹350 cap. After that whatever u add will be extra to the bill.

Let me explain bro,the thing is for example i want telugu package..for black customer they will give me telugu ultimate hd that is Rs 350,only other hd package I can choose is mega pack(Rs550) they will not provide Etv Hd in 350 rs pack if I want that channel I have to pay extra 22 Rs.But in dth the package can be changed to NCF + Few channels I like till 350rs I don't have to pay extra...But that is possible only through trai app it cannot be done through airtel thanks app. In Iptv also they are providing same package which cannot be modified becz it cannot be accessed through trai app.If I want to see Etv HD i have to pay extra 22rs as u don't have other option to avoid that extra fee.

I guess some members said that even in IPTV you can add a la carte channels via trai app. It works same as DTH. There is no difference

I don't think trai app can be accessed as it is iptv,anyone using iptv can confirm

Bro, I think iptv customer id they mentioned as dth id, because 2 days before relationship manager team send customer id in email, it's similarly like my dth xstream id, also they mentioned iptv connection as dth only in their app,BTW my xstream stb not in my name,it's my dad name
