Does watching channels on Airtel IP TV consume data?

My Sony TV remote control is working with Airtel IPTV STB without any manual configuration. It can operate almost every essential function of the STB.

Also, if I turn on/off the TV from any remote (e.g. Jio STB or Tata Play remote), the Airtel IPTV STB turns on/off automatically at the same time. This is an HDMI CEC feature.

Yes I’m also observed same with my Sony bravia 2 remote, all functions are same except channel number keys.

The recently watched channels section is not updating on my Airtel IPTV STB home screen. Also, existing channels are slowly removing from the tile. Is anyone else facing this issue?

I have noticed earlier. still channels selection from menu with both language and genre filters are impossible and inconvenient.
