Better to port out your number to other operators after consuming your balance since there is no store in your village.

Hope for the best (y) At least here, retailers can't do sim swap.

They were doing free home delivery of 4G sim. Not sure if they are still doing it or they can deliver to your location. But you can try: India's leading provider of Prepaid & Postpaid Mobile Services in India - Airtel.in
 
Today I have tweeted- to Voda, and tagged Trai , Dot-India,
Voda said- min recharge required,
Dot- India had forward to the concerned TSP/ Division for necessary action.
