To use this option, dial *199# on your Vodafone Prepaid and follow the prompts. Choose Combo Plan / Combo Pack and activate one of the above plans. You will get back full talktime and Outgoing Validity will also increase.

Hope this helps all bros who are in a dilemma of what to do. Effective Recurring Cost per month = Rs 0. Initial minimum cost = Rs 95 (considering you have no balance in your account, else initial cost also = Rs 0).

@@TJ_DJ@ Hey, can you please give the detailed navigation for these combo pack topup (full cashback) ones? I am not able to find it when I dial *199# or *111#

Those who are using AVoId as secondary sim can recharge after 28th day till 43rd day. They won't be able to make outgoing calls after 28 days but at least they can delay recharge for 13-14 more days while incoming calls can be received during this time. And I think 35 Rs recharge every 42 -43 days is fine as bsnl network has lot of issues and if we don't want to take risk of no network availability. We have to pay some amount for quality of AVoId service which is I think ok.

In the case of a secondary sim we don't want to take care much about quality(If so we can use it as primary). Its purpose is just keep it alive if that number is needed in mails, otp, any govt matters. Also for immediate uses while our primary network (we are using for calling and data) had any network issues. So recharging it with some talktime and retaining is fair(earlier system)

In latest idea app you can get outgoing validity date

Even i got it updated on the app. as iam outside India i used to reacharge more than Rs 250 before i leave india as they deduct Rs 20 per month. Now with this new rule looks like i will loose my no. Any solution for this.

  1. The TRAI rule of deduction of Rs 20 every 90 days to keep the number active is still valid. There have been no changes to TRAI rules.
  2. The Telcos have found a loophole in TRAI's terms. Nowhere does it say that an active number should have Outgoing and Incoming facility. I know it sounds weird, but some mastermind in the Telecom Industry has managed to crack this and find the loophole.
  3. Hence, after 28 days, Outgoing stops. After another 15 days, your incoming stops - but the TRAI rule still stays valid - i.e. the Telco will calculate the no. of days since your last chargable activity done on the number, and if it crosses 90 days, then, dedcut Rs 20 from Main Balance, and allow another 90 days. Your number will remain active, i.e. assigned to you and will not be disconnected.
  4. When questioned, the Telcos replied that their new rules are "in-line and abiding by" TRAI's rules. So essentially, the same rules still apply.
  5. One point to note here is that, due to this new 28 days restriction inclusion, the Telco is kind-of forcing you not to do any charegable activity, hence, earlier I could get away with making just a Re1 call every 90 days. But now, I wont be able to do it.
Note: The above is my analysis based on extensive reading of news articles and this forum, and other forumc dedicated to telecom. It is best to check with your telco by calling Customer Care to verify point 3 above.
