From yesterday outgoing calls from my Vodafone sim were blocked and got this message.

Currently I am active in Jio and the Vodafone number I had retained it with some balance(10-20rs) for calling while my jio pack expires or at any network problem. Now its not possible.I think its better to port my number to Bsnl.

Hope Vodafone is reading.

They will start losing customers one by one.
Even my outgoing has stopped.

Due to backlash from customers, and intervention by TRAI, Vodafone now allows you to use your existing balance to activate a pack, however, the catch is that this may be done only before your Outgoing Validity expires, so that means, once every 28 days.

What I could observe is, if we are able to use main balance to activate these packs for Outgoing Validity, then:
Activate using main balance:
Rs 95: Gives back Full talktime of Rs95 and also 500MB data, increases Outgoing Validity by 28 days.
Rs 145: Gives back Full talktime of Rs145 and also 1GB data, increases Outgoing Validity by 42 days.
Rs 245: Gives back Full talktime of Rs 245 and also 1GB data, increases Outgoing Validity by 84 days.

Effectively, for no loss, you get additional 4G data as per the above chosen pack, and the Outgoing Validity increases too.

To use this option, dial *199# on your Vodafone Prepaid and follow the prompts. Choose Combo Plan / Combo Pack and activate one of the above plans. You will get back full talktime and Outgoing Validity will also increase.

Hope this helps all bros who are in a dilemma of what to do. Effective Recurring Cost per month = Rs 0. Initial minimum cost = Rs 95 (considering you have no balance in your account, else initial cost also = Rs 0).
The it is better to recharge 399 for 84 days with unlimited talktime & 1.4gb data per day.

@piinku1 yes - this is not a discussion for users who have Vodafone as primary SIM and use it for primary purposes, they would anyway Recharge with 399 / 459 / other and things are not worrisome for them.

This is more for users who want to keep Vodafone SIM active by least usage.

Then 35rs is best. I am also recharging 35rs.
Because in my area, i am not getting good speed for vodafone 3G/4G.

No matter what gimmicks they come up with, the scenario now is you HAVE to spend a certain amount of money every 28 days

Docomo has stopped all regular top ups. Now only 10/1000 & 5000 available, valid as per sim. 35 rs. plan also allowed for 28 days.

Unless they(Vod,idea, airtel) can't give better service and least rates than jio then this movement will lead only to loose customers. Currently people keep this sims alive and doing small recharges. Now it will also stops. I am saying the case of those who use jio unlimited packs(others already do recharges with others and they targets those who don't). Also it will make old people who do only talktime and calls in trouble.

Docomo following steps for AvoId. Seems to be but natural, the way to survive.
But can Docomo introspect itself? What is the kind of service they are giving? In a city like Mumbai, they have only 2G spectrum. Airtel has taken over, but I dont know if Docomo users are able to latch on to Airtel 4G network.

This move is certainly a part of Airtel's move.
