The problem is operators are not getting money from some subscribers despite providing the services
As you mentioned services I would to recall the things first.
  • Unusual VAS were imposed on our number and balance got deducted remember those days?
  • The very costly plan if AVoId can afford the rates now so why not at that time?
  • Oh! And, what about that giving 3G speed in name of 4G and reducing 3G speed after providing 4G???
And, let come to reality of today.

Jio is the newest player in telecom but have a look at it's coverage don't you remember that AVoId have only few coverage at that time? And, when we complaint they didn't give us a single solution where as Jio is trying hard to provide coverage in places where it can't reach for a single person also.
In coverage where AVoId can't do a single thing called coverage properly in so many years and Jio did it in just few couple of years?

I will say that's the thing which can be termed as service.

Pointless speaking of the past. Its like asking why Tata Cellular was charging 12rupees/minute outgoing and 6rupees/minute incoming back in 1999. Times change.

And this ain't any comparison to make. Each company to their own. Airtel, Vodafone, Idea provide services in a manner they want to. Jio and BSNL provide the services they want to. Ultimately, we choose what we want. For example, based on your post I assume you are happy with Jio and you choose Jio. I am happy with BSNL and I use BSNL.

Your comparison has nothing to do with Airtel, Vodafone, Idea charging these new rates. Each has their own business models and kinds of services they provide.

My Outgoing Validity was 29/11/2018. When I check today, it shows 01/12/2018.
Maybe this is because TRAI told all telcos to inform all subscribers in a transparent manner in the "next 72 hours".
The same thing happened with my friend today.
Outgoing Validity was shown as 30/11/2018 till now. Today (i.e. on 30/11/2018), the Outgoing Validity has been changed to 02/12/2018.

It seems that if you wait till the LAST DAY, then automatically the Outgoing Validity is pushed forward a bit, but most likely this is due to intervention by TRAI.

Has anyone else seen such increase in validity by 2 to 3 days?

No, many of my friends numbers deactivated.

No, many of my friends numbers deactivated.
True. Many numbers got deactivated. That is when TRAI srpung into action (this Tuesday 27-Nov as per reports). Since then, I think numbers are not being deactivated. TRAI clearly said that if account balance is more than "minimum monthly recharge", then it should not be deactivated.

However, I havent seen these telcos "automatically" recharging/activating Rs 35 plan by deducting balance - that'd be an even worse case.

Thoughts?

how much minimum balance we should keep as balance for the number to be active?
