My only concern now is if i dont recharge with minimum and get deactive and they give my number to other person then i have to visit bank, gst bhavan, income tax office and other such place to change my new number where my old number is register to get OTP.....so now only option is recharge the number with minimum pack so its in active mode or change number in various instuition so that i get otp on my new number....
Port to JIO bhai before sim get deactivated ;)

But jio is only 4g network and most phone dont support dual volte again i have to invest in handset and also jio we have to recharge with minimum amount of 98 to have active service and i already own one jio sim so whats is use of other and 49 plan is only for jio phone.

Look at the table shown in this article (not uploading image as it may violate copyright).
This clearly states that the users who give < Rs 35 ARPU to telcos is huge. Even if half of these users do not recharge with Rs 35 by the end of this first period (end-November), the telcos will still make profit from the other half who would.

The ARPU is the key metric for all operators, and they have done a detailed study to understand whats best going forward. Also, with the merging of Vodafone and Idea, we've seen umpteen no. of complaints- the network has gone for a toss with so many active users who may not be even using it.

I am personally against this move of the telcos, but looks like we have no option left. Read the article (interesting title).

Bharat Bandh: Vodafone Idea, Airtel to switch off 200 million users soon

In AIRTEL best offers section it is shows
Smart Recharge : Rs. 34 (26.66 DA TT + 100 MB DATA + 2.5 p/s (all calls home network) for 28 days
DA TT! What it means?

DA TT means Data Talktime i think.

Jio is also not giving anything for low cost. Minimum 50 pm for jiophone or 150 pm for other phones. There is no lifetime plan is jio I think.

I think this is good. Waste of numbers. People should throw old sim if they are using only jio. Porting can be done. It will save battery also if using old 2/3g sim. Jio I think will always be lowest cost. Reliance is low cost leader. So no worry to forget old company. Tata to idea voda and airtel. Airtel is worst company. Once you get their postpaid connection, they will not disconnect it. They are no 1 harassment people. They treat customer like monthly salary account. Vodafone (before merger) was the best company. Very good customer service. No harassment. No automatic charges. Best network quality. No network busy. Its very bad that now only indian companies are left.
LOLWA...You talk like a spokesperson from Jio...

In my area, I get 30-40 Mbps from my main AirTel number...On the exact same place Jio was giving me like 0.2-0.50 kbps & Vodafone like 1-1.5 Mbps...That's why I stopped recharging my Jio sim like 7-8 months ago even being a Prime customer...No-one can deny the fact that AirTel has the best network connectivity in India...Where there is no 4G tower, Jio is of no-use coz Jio doesn't work in 2g or 3G mode...But AirTel & Vodafone can switch to 3g/2g mode & we can still remain connected even if the area has no 4G coverage at all...

Also I personally would NEVER link any Jio number to my Aadhar card/bank accounts because no-one knows what might happen later if we do this...
