I have not received any approval SMS or email either. So now I wonder it's whether it's already approved or going to be approved soon or what.

This morning I received both SMS and email confirming the approval.

The card was delivered. I made the first transaction on Airtel Thanks app on 10 Oct. This morning received the INR 500 Amazon eVoucher and successfully redeemed it.

Congratulations! You have earned an Amazon e-Voucher worth INR 500 upon using your Airtel Axis Bank Credit Card. Your e-Voucher code is XXXXXXXX.

Please note that you will have to redeem this voucher in 10 days from the date of receipt of this email and the validity of this e-Voucher will be 12 months from the date of redemption.

I heard that Airtel Axis Bank credit card now again available on RuPay variant. This card variant provides unlimited 1% cashback on UPI spends.

However, existing customers won't be able to switch the variant easily. Anyone who want to have the RuPay variant need to close their Mastercard variant card first then re-apply it by selecting RuPay variant from Axis Bank website.

Its intermittent for utilities bills, faced similar situation some time back but very recently used cc for gas bill payment.

Just a minor correction: Not every Axis credit card gives 25% discount on Airtel payments. It's only the Airtel Axis co-branded credit card that gives the cashback. This card has very less approval rates these days due to high number of applications and are only given to select customers now. It has other benefits too such as 10% cashback on electricity, water, LPG gas etc. bill payments.

I have been using this credit card from last year and it's totally worth the hype. I don't recharge Airtel wifi since I have no connection yet and getting good amount of cashbacks with rest of the eligible payments. With an Airtel wifi connection, the cashback will be further increased/doubled.

Hope airtel axis card is discontinued. Correct me if I am wrong.
