Vodafone Idea says it will take 15 years to pay AGR dues, asks DoT for Rs 8,000-cr GST refund
Vodafone Idea has called on the government to allow it to pay adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues over 15 years. The telecom company has also asked for a tax refund, cuts in licence fees and spectrum usage charges (SUC) and the establishment of a floor for tariffs among measures to help remain viable.
Well, this is silly. Negotiating on AGR may be ok but govt should draw the line when they start asking everything else for free

Vodafone Idea Ltd. and its promoter Vodafone Group Plc have proposed tariff hikes across offerings to raise revenue that would enable the telecom operator to pay the adjusted gross revenue dues. The proposal is part of a letter sent to the Department of Telecommunications and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.

Voda Idea proposes data price of Rs.35 per GB, then our data bill might reach Rs.700 for 20 GB per month. Can we sustain this tariff for prepaid?

Obviously no in current network status however if they're able to integrate properly that too in timely manner then 500-700 is not very huge price.

Plan of 15 Gb for 500 with unlimited calling can atract lot of customer with good coverage and stable speed

Price increase with different data slabs can automatically make the network better. People are using more as its available easily and may tend to restrict usage if prices increases. For example - I can sustain on 2GB per month with Wifi already available at office and home

if u lower data usage, what is use of increasing price by vodafone :smile2: . what u are actually saying that suppose current rate is 200rs/month/for 1.5gb/day. Aftr price rise u, will use 2gb or 20gb/month for same price. hw will it help vodafone revenue? telcos are not so mad, neither trai. better to shut them down once than giving them 35/gb forever
