For win 7 32 bit use at least 2 Gb ram(3 will be best), for 64 bit go for 3/4GB.

Very thanks bro & i use win 7 32 bit

Which antivirus u use ? Remember antivirus is the most resource hungry app in your PC. So better to choose which is light weight and suit your pc

already i have using 500gb hardisk & 1gb ram it's working fine & i will replace with 1tb hardisk onwards hanging & very slow & i replace the harddisk due to my old hardisk is not working & if possible please tell what is the issue in my cpu:sp

bro,for ex:if i open vlc player & google browser means it hanging :(

for your reference my motherboard details:

MSI India G31TM-P21
Vicky bro no doubt today's APP are very Hungry of space + RAM (Memory) So I suggest you to buy minimum 2GB of DDR-2 RAM of same latency means it should be of good brand with same value Modules having minimum 800MHZ FSB (Front side bus).

Some time Compatibility issue also arises Suppose if CPU supports 800Mhz FSB & Ram is supporting 600Mhz then naturally the performance could not give of its full potential.

Internet like application and other simple like Home office work can be easily done by your Mother-Board & CPU, So i Recommend that you can get Two module of Dual Channel DDR-2 (800Mhz) FSB

NOTE:-
Performance & speed has many reasons like Huge Ram consuming applications ,So do check your all app which are not used and install light weight app. its very necessary to maintain PC speed.

If your RAM has 240 pins (120 each side) than it is either DDR2 or DDR3.:k
But you can Not insert a DDR3 ram in your DDR2 Slot..

bro,i also one doubt ,currently i use 1tb internal hard disk & 1 gb ram & some times it's hanging & how much ram need for 1tb hard disk :huh

@Vicky Bro, Hard disk has nothing to do with RAM..:no
RAM is a working space of a computer , Technically if you have 1TB hard disk than it does not mean that you need a big size RAM..
The Amount of RAM you need is determined by the applications you use..
If you have 64bit OS than you need more RAMs than a 32bit OS..If you do more multitasking than you need more RAM.:hello

tech info dear do not miss lead users ddr 3 and ddr 2 pin notch are having different locations and none of them can be placed in each other's place.

here is image of same to understand.

ddr2-vs-ddr3.png

from this image as you can see bottom side of ram has one cut in it.
- old era ddr ram has @ 7+ cm
- ddr 2 ram has @ 7 cm
- ddr 3 ram has @ 5+ cm

so not technically but practically even it's 100% impossible to place ddr 2 ram in ddr 3 slot or ddr 3 in ddr 2 slot.

Nice Information Brot,,,

If you talk to DDR, DDR2 & DDR3 both side PIN (total Nos.), then Members may Very Clarify.......

Thanks,,,

Thanks for this bro..:k
By the Way Believe me or not , I forget to type "NOT" in my reply and i didn't notice it . when i saw your reply a came to know that It was wrongly typed.Sorry for this.. :wall
I have both the RAM and have tried my self to insert but it didn't fit in DDR2 slot..
Any way thanks for clearing..
Both DDR2 and DDR3 has 240 pins.:)

I think I have Typed correctly In Post #26 (which was posted wrongly due to network error). If any admin can see my edit history than check it..
