Good News BSNL Bumper Offer To Counter Jio! Avail more benefits now on smallest recharge plans

In order to counter Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel’s new offers, telecom operator BSNL has been forced to revamp its recharge plans for its current customers as well as attract new users.

In the Rs 29 pack, BSNL is offering unlimited local/STD voice calling benefits to any network in home circle and national roaming, except Delhi and Mumbai. This apart, users can avail 1GB data and 300 SMS messages for seven days in the pack.

In the Rs 9 pack, users will get unlimited local and STD calls to any network in home circle and national roaming except Delhi and Mumbai, but for a day. Also, this pack offers 100MB data and 100 SMS messages for a day.

Breaking India elected to UN Human Rights Council with highest votes among candidates

India won a seat to Human Rights Council at United Nations with highest votes among all candidates. Five countries including India contested the election for five vacancies in the Asia Pacific region - thereby assuring the election of all five. The other four candidates are Bangladesh, Bahrain, Fiji and the Philippines.

As per reports, India got 188 votes out of 193 - highest for any contesting candidate. After the election, India will join China, Pakistan and Nepal which were elected in previous years for three-year terms. Seats in the 47-member Council are allocated based on "equitable regional distribution" leaving Asia Pacific region 13 seats.

Breaking Encounter breaks out in J&K's Baramulla, one terrorist gunned down

Terrorists and security personnel in Baramulla's Babgund exchanged heavy gunfire as an encounter broke out here early Saturday morning.

News agency ANI reported that exchange of fire took place as the terrorists targeted a security post here but were pinned down by alert personnel deployed here. The gunbattle was ongoing at the time of filing this report and there are no reports of injuries or casualties as yet.

Sad News Delhi's air quality falling steadily, crop burning possible reason once again

There is a nip in the air. And pollutants too. It, indeed, is that time of the year over the national capital region when residents choke and suffocate while politicians tend to indulge in brazen blame game in the yearly battle against pollution here.

In the last few weeks, and especially in the last few days, Delhi's air quality has nosedived. At 0600hrs on Saturday, Anand Vihar's reading was well into the hazardous category at 407 while pollution reading at Punjabi Bagh stood at 307, according to aqicn.org.

Good News Mahindra offers cars on lease for 5 years; XUV500, Scorpio, Marazzo, TUV300 available

Five year lease: Under the vehicle leasing service, Mahindra is offering XUV500 for a monthly payment of Rs 32,999 and its compact SUV KUV100NXT for a lease rental of Rs 13,499. Other vehicles on offer under the scheme include Scorpio, Marazzo, and TUV300. In exchange of this lease payment, Mahindra will take care of all the expenses associated with owning a vehicle, including insurance, accident damage, maintenance, roadside assistance, and re-sale guarantee.
Mahindra is also offering vehicles on lower or no down payment under its leasing scheme. The rent will also cover end-to-end maintenance for the leased vehicle.
