ZombieLoad Attack - New secret-spilling flaw affects almost every Intel chip since 2011

ZombieLoad Attack

After Meltdown, Spectre, and Foreshadow, we discovered more critical vulnerabilities in modern processors. The ZombieLoad attack allows stealing sensitive data and keys while the computer accesses them.

While programs normally only see their own data, a malicious program can exploit the fill buffers to get hold of secrets currently processed by other running programs. These secrets can be user-level secrets, such as browser history, website content, user keys, and passwords, or system-level secrets, such as disk encryption keys.

The attack does not only work on personal computers but can also be exploited in the cloud.

Make sure to get the latest updates for your operating system!

PWA Technology stack

Dear mates,

i have db backend experience, and very new to front end technologies, so pls corret me and guide to right path in case if you find my questions are not right.

I heard about PWA and want to develope our requirements in PWA as we are starting from scratch and want to be on latest technology.
Requirment is to show videos and images of asset/real estate properties to our customers. We will be having database to track information of customers and other details. Few questions on this requirement.

1) Where can i store images & vieos so that it will be available on web(not in the form of lobs in db). For that what technologies are required.
2) Front end we want to be PWA so that customer dont' need to install app(we may not use offline capabilities much). So what are technologies stack(right from front end to db) supported by PWA. Most likely cloud tools(freeware) or cloud compatible tools.
3) Do we still need web server(ex; appache tomcat) for PWA.
4) How we play video streams in PWA?
5) We want tools/technologies that easily deployable in any cloud(azure/googl..or any other cloud). If we've to go cloud specific tools (if free and less cost) then which one you recommend.

Please kindly respond on this. As said, am very new to these and may not be meaningful on some questions.

Hotstar faces black out during Game of Thrones streaming

Hotstar has admitted a ‘technical difficulty' caused the blackout and interruption to the live stream of Game of Thrones season 8 episode 5 “The Bells”, which occurred during a crucial reunion scene between the Lannister siblings, Cersei (Lena Headey) and Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau). The Disney/Star India-owned streaming service cited as such in response to several public complaints on Twitter: “Apologies for the experience. We faced a technical difficulty, [and the] stream recovered within 30 seconds.” In a statement to Gadgets 360, Hotstar said it had no comment.

Microsoft ION

Microsoft Launches Decentralized Identity Tool on Bitcoin Blockchain - CoinDesk

Microsoft is launching the first decentralized infrastructure implementation by a major tech company that is built directly on the bitcoin blockchain.

The open source project, called Ion, deals with the underlying mechanics of how networks talk to each other. For example, if you log onto Airbnb using Facebook, a protocol deals with the software that sends the personal information from your social profile to that external service provider. In this case, Ion handles the decentralized identifiers, which control the ability to prove you own the keys to this data.

Christopher Allen, a crypto veteran and the co-founder of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) working group for decentralized identity (DID) solutions, told CoinDesk that Microsoft’s move could impact the entire tech industry.
