Bharti Airtel has quietly revised its Postpaid plans from April 1 and reduced the complimentary Amazon Prime membership from 1 year to 6 months. The price of Amazon Prime received a price hike of up to 50% in December last year.
Airtel offers free Amazon Prime membership to new connections with its Rs. 499, Rs. 999, Rs. 1,199 or Rs. 1,599 postpaid plans. This is a one time benefit and the prime subscription continues at regular price after the end of the complementary period.
According to a Gadgets360 report, as a part of Airtel Thanks Platinum, customers on any of the aforementioned plans used to get 1-year of Amazon Prime membership but now they will get only 6 months of the free subscription.
Apart from reducing the validity of Prime Video, Airtel has not modified other OTT benefits offered. These postpaid plans also offer a free annual Disney+ Hotstar Mobile subscription, Shaw academy access and Wynk Music premium.
