Bharti Airtel’s new prepaid plan prices have been revised from today midnight with a 20-25% hike in cost. But, apart from changing prices, the company has also launched a new offer to provide free 500MB data per day on 4 prepaid plans.
Under the offer, any customer recharging with Rs 839, Rs 719, Rs 299 and Rs 265 will get an additional 500MB/day data till plan validity. This offer came as a relief for users who haven’t done recharge in advance as now they can downgrade their pack and continue to get higher data.
Rs 719 plan provides 1.5GB/ day data but with this offer, customers will get a total of 2GB/ day data for 84 days. Before the price hike, Airtel was offering the same benefits of 2GB/day data for 84 days at Rs 698. This made an effective hike of only Rs 21 in 2GB/day plan with 84 days validity.
Similarly, the monthly plan of 1.5GB/ day data effective cost increased by just Rs 16. Until yesterday the Rs 249 pack offered 1.5GB/ day data, now users can get 1GB/ day + 500MB/ day data with the Rs 265 plan.
There is just a Rs 1 difference in the monthly 2GB/ day unlimited pack. Previously, it was available for Rs 298, now after the price increase, customers can get 1.5GB/ day + 500MB/ day data with the Rs 299 plan.
Greed has no limits…. telecom companies aren’t improving the network and the service, but talking just to increase the ARPU,,, they hardly talk about providing quality network and customer care. It is just like the Modi govt increasing the petrol prices without providing a fair reason.. just minting money in the name of business, they know the public has not choice and we has also lost our voice.
