Airtel launches 2 New Prepaid Plan at Rs 279 and Rs 379

Bharti Airtel has today followed the footsteps of Vodafone Idea and launched the Rs 379 prepaid plan for its customers. It has also launched another prepaid plan at Rs 279 along with the removal of its Rs 23 prepaid plan from the Airtel app.

The Rs 279 prepaid plan offers 28 days validity, 1.5 GB per day, truly unlimited calling and 100 SMS/day. The plan is similar to Rs 249 prepaid plan except for the additional benefit.

Rs 4 lakh life insurance from HDFC Life comes with this plan along with Wynk Music, Airtel Xstream App Premium, Free 4 week course on Shaw Academy, and Rs 100 cashback on FastTag.

Airtel was earlier offering life insurance in its Rs 249 prepaid plan which offered 2 GB per day for 28 days along with Rs 4 Lakh life insurance from Bharti AXA. The plan was discontinued earlier last month after the tariff hike but now has been brought back with a tariff hike.

Rs 379 prepaid plan comes with a validity of 84 days and offers 6 GB of data for Airtel users. It offers truly unlimited calling and 900 SMS. Wynk Music, Airtel Xstream App Premium, Free 4 week course on Shaw Academy, and Rs 100 cashback on FastTag are the additional benefits.

The plan is identical to Vodafone Idea Rs 379 plan except it offers 100 SMS lesser. The prepaid plan is suitable for those who are not heavy data users but frequently use their phone for calling.

Airtel has also officially unlisted its Rs 23 prepaid plan which on 29 December made way for Rs 45 prepaid plan resulting in a 95% hike in Airtel’s minimum monthly recharge.

Airtel had also recently introduced two new prepaid plans at Rs 558 and Rs 349. The Rs 558 plan offers 3 GB per day for 56 days along with truly unlimited calling. The Rs 349 plan offers 28 days of validity and 2 GB per day. It additionally comes with 28 days subscription to Amazon Prime.
