The company separately in 2002 bagged International Long Distance (ILD) service license under the old telecom licensing regime. The ILD service license was issued by DoT on 25th February 2002 with 20 years validity from the effective date of licenses.
Airtel’s existing NLD and ILD service licenses under the old telecom licensing regime were set to expire in the coming 6 months with the NLD license expiring in November 2021 followed by an ILD service license in February 2022.
