Telecom service provider Bharti Airtel has announced that its 5G Plus services are now available to users across Kochi’s water metro stations. According to the company, it is the first service provider to introduce 5G services on India’s first water metro stations. Customers can access the 5G Plus services along the route of Kerala Water Metro service between the High Court-Vypin terminals and the Vyttila-Kakkanad terminals.

It is yet another milestone in our ambition to deliver blazing-fast 5G speeds to as many of our customers as possible, including on waterways. We are thrilled that our customers can now enjoy the power of the 5G service while on the water metro ride and relish the scenic beauty of Kochi,” said Amit Gupta, COO, Kerala, Bharti Airtel.
Airtel 5G Plus services are now available in more than 3500 cities and towns across India. Moreover, Airtel says it has surpassed the 10 million unique 5G customers mark and plans to provide 5G Plus services to every town and key rural area by September 2023. For the unaware, Airtel is providing unlimited high-speed 5G data to its customers at no additional cost. Airtel users can avail of the 5G Plus services without worrying about data exhaustion or paying extra charges.
