Airtel 5G Plus services launched in Coimbatore, Madurai, Hosur, and Trichy

According to Airtel, the 5G Plus services will be available to customers in a phased manner as it continues to construct its network and complete the rollout.

Telecom service provider Bharti Airtel has launched its 5G Plus services in four cities of Tamil Nadu, including Coimbatore, Madurai, Hosur, and Trichy. For the unaware, the Airtel 5G Plus services are already available in Chennai. The company says its 5G Plus services will be available to customers in a phased manner as it continues to construct its network and complete the rollout.

In Madurai, the Airtel 5G Plus services are currently available in KK Nagar, Kochadai, Ellis Nagar, Pasumalai, Mattuthavani, Thiruparankundram, Solaialagu Puram, Meenakshi Nagar, Viraganur, Nethaji Street, Alanganallur Road, Thiruvalluvar Nagar, Kadachaneanthal Road, Palangantham, and Kadachaneanthal Road. In Coimbatore, the 5G services are live at 100Ft Road, Town Hall, Gandhipuram, Saibaba Colony, Rathinapuri, Ganapathy, Koundampalayam, Tatabad, Saravanampatti, Sathy Road, Uppilipalayam, Cheran ma Nagar, RS Puram, Podanur, and Singanallur.

In Hosur, the Airtel 5G services are present in Thillai Nagar, Rock fort, KK Nagar, Karumandapam, Thirunagar, Sanjeevi Nagar, Srirangam, Valluvar Salai, Selvapuram, Melur Road, and BHEL. Lastly, in Trichy, the 5G services are currently operational at Bharathidasan Nagar, Mookondapalli, Ganapathy Nagar, Sipcot I Land, Dargah, Periyar Nagar, Avalapalli, Shanthi Nagar, Old ASTC Hudco, and VOC Nagar.

“I am thrilled to announce the launch of Airtel 5G Plus in Coimbatore, Madurai, Hosur, Trichy in addition to Chennai. Airtel customers in these five cities can now experience ultrafast networks and enjoy speeds up to 20-30 times faster than the current 4G speeds. We are in the process of lighting up the entire city which will allow customers to enjoy superfast access to High-definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos, and more,” said Amit Tripathi, CEO, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Bharti Airtel.

The company will augment its 5G services in other areas of these cities in due course of time. Airtel customers with 5G smartphones can enjoy the Airtel 5G Plus services on their existing data plans until the rollout is complete. Airtel 5G Plus services now work on all Android and Apple supported 5G devices. No SIM card change is required to avail of the Airtel 5G Plus services.
