Reliance Jio‘s OTT app JioCinema has tied up with Sun NXT to enhance its content library for South Indian Jio customers. Sun NXT is an OTT platform operated by Sun TV Network Limited which offers movies, originals, kid’s Content, across 4 South Indian languages: Tamil, Telugu, Kannada & Malayalam.
With this partnership, Jio users can now access Sun NXT’s exclusive digital content for free through JioCinema Android and iOS apps. As of now, only movies from Sun NXT are available to watch. This content is not present on the web version of JioCinema (jiocinema.com). You can’t watch Sun NXT movies on JioCinema Android TV app either and screen casting/mirroring is restricted as well from mobile for Sun NXT content.
JioCinema is a free on-demand service exclusive to Jio Sim users. It offers more than 1 lakh hours of Movies, TV Shows, Originals, Music videos, Clips, Trailers & more in Hindi, English, Tamil, Kannada, Marathi, Telugu, Bengali, Gujarati, Bhojpuri, Malayalam, Punjabi & dubbed content.
In partnership with Alt Balaji, Jio users can access original shows like Maaya 3, Bekaaboo, Baarish, My Name is Sheela, Flip, Metro Park, Broken, The Investigation, Apharan, Smoke, Zindabaad, Side Hero, The Great Indian Dysfunctional Family, Bose – Dead or Alive, etc.
The app comes with a separate Disney section which includes popular movies such as Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Iron Man 3, UP, Wall-E, Ratatouille, Toy Story 3, The Jungle Book, The Lion King and Guardians of the Galaxy.
