Reliance Jio introduces new postpaid family plans with one-month free trial

Jio Plus Rs. 699 family postpaid plan provides access to Netflix and Amazon Prime at no additional cost.

Jio Plus postpaid plan

Telecom service provider Reliance Jio has introduced new postpaid Family plans, called Jio Plus, that allow up to four family members to try the services free of cost for a month. The company is also offering unlimited True 5G Data through the Jio Welcome Offer, priority call-back services, international roaming calls to India at Re. 1 per minute with Wi-Fi calling, and in-flight connectivity for overseas travel.

Jio Plus postpaid family plan details

The Jio Plus Rs. 399 family postpaid plan offers 75GB of mobile data, unlimited voice calls, and unlimited SMS. On the other hand, the Jio Plus Rs. 699 family postpaid plan comes with 100GB of data, unlimited voice calls, unlimited SMS, and free access to Netflix and Amazon Prime. Users can add up to three family members to each plan.

The security deposit for the Rs. 399 plan is Rs. 500, and for the Rs. 699 plan, it is Rs. 875. However, the security deposit is waived off for Jio Fiber users, corporate employees, existing non-Jio postpaid users, credit card customers of Axis Bank, HDFC Bank and SBI, and users with good credit scores.

Additionally, users will also have to pay Rs. 99 per SIM during activation, and add-on family SIMs will be charged Rs. 99 per month after the free trial. Every add-on family SIM comes with 5GB of monthly data.

Jio Plus postpaid individual plan details

The Jio Plus Rs. 299 plan offers 30GB of mobile data, unlimited voice calls, and unlimited SMS. The security deposit for the Rs. 299 plan is Rs. 375. The Rs. 599 postpaid plan offers unlimited voice calls along with SMS and mobile data. The security deposit for the Rs. 599 plan is Rs. 750. There is no free trial option available for individual plans.

Similar to the Family plan, the security deposit of the individual plan is waived off for Jio Fiber users, corporate employees, existing non-Jio postpaid users, credit card customers of Axis Bank, HDFC Bank and SBI, and users with good credit scores.

How to get the new Jio postpaid family plan

To get the new Jio postpaid family plan, users can give a missed call on 70000 70000 to start the process through WhatsApp. Customers can then choose the relevant option to get a Security Deposit waiver. Existing Jio prepaid users can get the Jio Plus postpaid Family plans through the My Jio app.

Once the master family SIM is activated, users can link the three add-on SIMs to their account via the MyJio app to start sharing benefits for free. Jio Plus Family postpaid plans will be available in all Jio Stores and through the home delivery option from March 22, 2023.

Plan looks good, I believe Airtel will also come up with similar plan or they will end up losing postpaid customers.
I have 4 Airtel prepaid sims in my family, will take it if Airtel brings similar plan.

So no more free add on sims with any plan and prices also raised. Rs 199 is removed and replaced with 299 for 30gb data, while 599 family plan will cost 699 + 99 for each additional sim.

Netflix, Prime, etc are also now exclusive only to 699 plan.
