The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) today granted Reliance Jio a fresh set of MSC codes for West Bengal, Bihar, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh telecom circle. The allocation from DoT comes after the telecom service provider requested DoT for allocation of MSC codes.
DoT has offered Reliance Jio ACCESS-MSC codes to meet the demand of one million subscribers in each telecom circle. The company in total has got MSC codes to meet the demand of four million customers in the above-mentioned telecom circles.

The numbering series allocated to Reliance Jio was earlier held by Reliance Communications/Reliance Telecom. Reliance Jio can use the aforementioned series except for the active numbers of Reliance Communications/Reliance Telecom and other port out subscribers.
“In consideration to the requests of M/s RJIL for allocation of MSC codes to allocate MSC codes. Aforementioned Series may be used by respective TSPs except subscribers of M/s RCom/RTL and other port out subscribers (if any),” said DoT in a circular.
