Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio, and Vodafone Idea (Vi) recently announced a price hike in their mobile tariffs for both prepaid and postpaid customers. The revised tariffs for Jio and Airtel will come into effect from July 3, 2024, while the updated pricing for Vi will be applicable from July 4, 2024. These changes will reflect across all existing customer touchpoints and channels.
Reliance Jio’s 28-day plan now ranges from Rs 189 to Rs 449. In addition, the 56-day plans now cost Rs. 579 and Rs. 629, which offer 1.5GB/day data and 2GB/day data, respectively. Furthermore, the base plan, which offers 2GB of data for 28 days, is priced at Rs. 189. The top-tier plan, which provides 2.5GB/day data for 365 days, costs Rs. 3,599.
In contrast, Bharti Airtel’s 28-day plan now starts from Rs. 199 and offers 2GB of data and unlimited calling facility to any network within India. Priced at Rs. 579, the 56-day plan offers 1.5GB/day data, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS/day costs, while the 2GB/day plan with the same validity costs Rs. 649. Lastly, the annual plan, which provides 2.5GB/day data is now priced at Rs. 3,599.

Following Jio and Airtel, Vodafone Idea (Vi) has also increased its mobile tariffs. The Rs. 179 plan, which comes with 28 days of validity and 2GB of mobile data, now costs Rs 199. The popular Rs. 479 plan, which offers 56 days of validity and 1.5GB of data per day, is now priced at Rs 579. Furthermore, the price of the annual plan with 1.5GB/day data has increased by Rs 600.
For Jio and Airtel users, unlimited 5G data is available on plans that offer 2GB/day data or more. At present, Vi does not offer 5G services. However, the company has announced that it will make significant investments over the next few quarters to improve its 4G experience and launch 5G services. With the revised tariffs, Jio is offering the most cost-effective plans across most of its offerings. However, it’s important for consumers to review these changes and select the plan that best fits their needs.
Vi is best for postpaid user if they are getting good network coverage of vi
