The move will come as a relief as a lot for customers looking to jump the ship with many customers earlier left perplexed and angry by JioFiber’s refund process.

JioFiber customers either need to enter their Registered Mobile Number, Service ID, or Order Reference Number. The portal will verify your details if you are eligible for refund following which you can enter your bank details.

To recall, JioFiber customers are eligible to receive a refund of the security deposit amount provided the installed devices are returned in good and working condition on disconnection of the JioFiber services. The security deposit for JioFiber is usually refunded through National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) within a maximum period of 60 days.

However, earlier the refund process was completely offline. Multiple customers reported that callous attitude of JioFiber team that would not turn up for the picking up of installed devices. Even if the same was done, there would be no progress on the refund or the refund would not be in entirety. The poor refund process coupled with JioFiber plans have left a bad taste for the broadband users which is one of the reasons behind JioFiber lagging behind other broadband services with a market share of approx 5% at 0.84 million subscribers.
