After almost a year, Gionee has made a comeback in the Indian market by launching the Gionee Max smartphone. Gionee Max is an entry-level smartphone that features an HD+ display, dual-rear cameras, and a massive 5000mAh battery with reverse charging support. It runs Android 10 OS out of the box.

Gionee Max specifications

Gionee Max features a 6.1-inch HD+ (1560 x 720 pixels) with a dewdrop notch and 2.5D curved glass screen protection. The phone is powered by an octa-core Unisoc 9863A processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It also has a dedicated MicroSD card slot that supports up to 256GB of memory card.

For photography, the Gionee Max sports a 13 MP camera with a depth sensor. For taking selfies, the phone has a 5 MP camera on the dewdrop notch. The rear camera supports slow-motion video, time-lapse video, face beauty, HDR, and bokeh mode.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, 4G LTE, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a MicroUSB port for charging the device. Sensors included are proximity and accelerometer. Gionee Max comes with a 5000mAh battery and supports reverse charging technology. Lastly, the phone measures 148 x 70.9 x 10.75mm and weighs 185 grams.

Pricing and availability

Gionee Max is priced at Rs. 5,999 for the single 2GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. The phone comes in Black, Red, and Royal Blue color options and will be available to purchase in the country via Flipkart, starting August 31, 2020.
