WWE.com announced today that Sasha Banks will be defending her WWE Woman's Championship against Charlotte at SummerSlam. This is a rematch from Monday Night Raw, where Sasha won the title for the first time.

Dave Meltzer noted in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer that there has been talk a few weeks ago that Alberto Del Rio has an out clause in his contract in September.

Obviously TNA has had a lot of interest in Del Rio in the past. However, in an interview with The Indian Express earlier this month, Del Rio seemed to not have much interest in signing with TNA.

"At the end of the day you can love what you do, but you have to be rewarded," Del Rio said. "If somebody wants to have me in their organization, they have to pay me, and there is no other place like WWE, which is a major league of progress and growth. TNA does not have the wherewithal as WWE does."

As noted, Brock Lesnar will return to WWE TV on tomorrow's RAW from Atlanta, his first appearance since defeating Dean Ambrose at WrestleMania 32.
There had been some speculation on Paul Heyman's WWE status after his contract recently expired but PWInsider has confirmed that Heyman will be on RAW with Lesnar. It was believed that Heyman would eventually sign a new deal, in time for the SummerSlam match against Randy Orton, but now we know that Heyman will also return before then.

Heyman was not drafted to RAW with Lesnar in the recent WWE Draft as some other wrestler - manager combos were.

As noted, WWE released Tough Enough runner-up Zamariah "ZZ" Loupe from his
WWE NXT deal on Thursday.

ZZ posted the following comments via Instagram and noted that he doesn't believe his WWE career is over. He also brags on being undefeated in NXT and says we will see him doing some form of entertainment soon.

As for as the comments that are gonna come after I post this! The next time I get an opportunity,.... That any of y'all want send me y'all number, and I'll be more then happy to give it to y'all cause I know everyone's gonna tell me what I should've done! Two other NXT talents were released today - Josh Woods and Tom Kingdon, according to PWInsider.

Both Woods and Kingdon had been working at least some live events but never had any significant roles on TV. Woods has debuted on TV but mostly as an enhancement talent. Woods was a former national wrestling champion and amateur MMA fighter while Kingdon was a former champion bodybuilder.

WWE.com has a new interview with Finn Balor, who discussed being drafted to RAW. Below are a couple of highlights:
Which WWE star he is most looking forward to wrestling:

"You know, you're gonna think I'm making this up. But for the longest time, there has been a kind of mutual respect/competitiveness between myself and Seth [Rollins], I think. We'd done a panel the morning of [NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn], and it was something we touched on that when I was in Japan and Seth was in the independents in the United States, we'd always hear each other mentioned in the same breath, and it was like, 'Who's better?' We'd never really had a chance to challenge each other one-on-one, but it was something that was always very much in the back of our minds.

"We both take a lot of pride in our work and are very competitive, and of course we both want to prove to each other that I'm better than him or he's better than me. But he's someone I've looked up to for a long time in WWE. He's definitely the number one person I'm looking forward to wrestling, and it just so happens to be at SummerSlam."

If there is extra pressure because of people calling him "the face of the future":

"You know, people are always going to label you as something. People can label me as the face of the future, but I've been doing this for 16 years. For me, this is nothing new. I'm very assured of my ability when I'm in the ring. Sure, I'm new to Raw and I'm new to WWE, but I'm not new to being in the ring. In the ring, I consider myself quite capable. I can handle myself. That's a very flattering moniker, to be called the face of the future, and hopefully I can live up to that. But for me, you know, it's my past, present and hopefully my future. Wrestling is my life. So for me, it's not just the future. It's literally everything I do."

Balor also discussed his goals in WWE, leaving NXT, the reaction from the crowd on RAW and more. You can read the full interview by clicking here.

Tonight's WWE RAW takes place from the Phillips Arena in Atlanta with Brock Lesnar's return to TV and more hype for SummerSlam.

WWE signs former NFL player Brennan Williams

Six-foot-seven, 300-pound former NFL offensive tackle Brennan Williams is joining the ranks of the WWE Performance Center. He reports to Orlando today to begin his training.
A third-round draft pick of the Houston Texans in 2013, Williams played college ball at the University of North Carolina prior to joining the NFL. He was also part of the practice squads for the Jacksonville Jaguars and New England Patriots during his NFL tenure.

Williams, a lifelong fan of sports-entertainment, began training under WWE Hall of Famer Booker T in October 2015 after his NFL career ended. He made his in-ring debut for Booker's Houston-based Reality of Wrestling earlier this year, competing under the alias Marcellus Black.

In addition to his experience on the gridiron and in the ring, Williams holds a black belt in taekwondo.

After tonight's WWE RAW went off the air,
WWE Champion Dean Ambrose, John Cena and AJ Styles of SmackDown were a part of the six-man tag team dark match main event.

Cena, Ambrose and Roman Reigns defeated Styles, Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens.
