After tonight's WWE RAW went off the air, SmackDown stars John Cena, AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose were in action for the main event dark match.

Seth Rollins and Styles after Ambrose pinned Rollins.

The main event for the August 21st WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view will see RAW Superstars Seth Rollins and Finn Balor collide in singles action. The winner will be crowned the first-ever WWE Universal Champion.
Balor earned the shot against Rollins after winning a Fatal 4 Way on RAW, then defeating Roman Reigns clean in the main event. Reigns had also won a Fatal 4 Way earlier in the night. Rollins was put into the title match by Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley because he was their #1 draft pick.
As noted, the Universal Title will be the new major title for the RAW brand now that WWE Champion Dean Ambrose is on SmackDown.
As of this writing, the only other match confirmed for SummerSlam is Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton.

The dark main event after tonight's WWE SmackDown in Buffalo saw RAW Superstars Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns in action.

Reigns and WWE Champion Dean Ambrose teamed up to defeat Rollins and Bray Wyatt. The pin came after Ambrose hit Rollins with Dirty Deeds.

John Cena And Dean Ambrose At RAW Again, RAW Stars To SmackDown

Despite WWE often not delivering on the advertised dark match at their RAW and SmackDown tapings, they are sticking with their upcoming advertised main events despite the brand extension. John Cena, AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose will be working the dark match at this Monday's RAW taping in Atlanta, while Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns will be in the dark match at Tuesday's SmackDown in Nashville.

The RAW dark match is Cena, Ambrose & Roman Reigns vs. Rollins, Styles and Jericho. Cena, Ambrose & Reigns will be teaming again for the SmackDown dark match, however they will face Rollins, Styles and Bray Wyatt.
