As seen in the video above, Roman Reigns returned to action at tonight's WWE live event in Newark, DE. After Ambrose defended the WWE Championship against Seth Rollins, Rollins attacked Ambrose. Reigns made a surprise appearance and speared Rollins before picking up the title. After Ambrose got back into the ring, Reigns tossed the belt at him and walked away without a word.

As reported earlier, The Night of Champions PPV is now being replaced by Clash of Champions in September. WWE has decided to bring back the classic WCW event, and make it a RAW Pay Per View. Clash of Champions is scheduled to roll out of Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana on the 25th of September.

The Bankers Life Fieldhouse website has updated the event details, and is advertising Rusev as the WWE Intercontinental Champion, while the Bulgarian Brute is the current WWE United States Champion. Below are the updated event details.

The WWE RAW brand will run a live event in Santiago, Chile on October 6th at the Movistar Arena. Tickets go on sale today. Superstars advertised include Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Sasha Banks, WWE Women's Champion Charlotte and WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day.

As noted, WWE Hall of Famers Booker T and
Jerry Lawler will now serve as key analysts on the WWE Network Kickoff specials and pre-shows due to announce team changes in the WWE Draft. They will be joined by Amy "Lita" Dumas and likely host Renee Young.

Lita's role within WWE is shifting from that of a Producer to an on-air panelist for the RAW, SmackDown and pay-per-view pre-shows. As of this coming week, Lita will no longer work as a producer and will work the RAW and SmackDown pre-shows on the WWE Network.

No word yet on who, if anyone, will takeover Lita's previous duties but there has been talk of some of the trainers and coaches from WWE NXT getting called up to work with the main roster.

The WWE Title is now exclusive to SmackDown after champion Dean Ambrose retained in the main event of tonight's WWE Battleground pay-per-view, over RAW Superstars Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Ambrose pinned Reigns to win the match. It will be interesting to see how WWE gets to announcing a new title for RAW.

WWE announced 15,109 fans in attendance at the sold out Verizon Center for tonight's WWE Battleground pay-per-view. It's no secret that WWE regularly inflates the announced number by several thousand.

WWE Champion Dean Ambrose reacts to retaining at WWE Battleground to Andrea D'Marco. Ambrose says the match was the toughest of his career and the biggest. He says he, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns are WWE and have been for a long time. He says this war has been three years the making and they all knew it would come down to this. Regarding who is the man in The Shield, Ambrose says not to leave it in the judge's hands after tonight.

The new WWE Universal Champion will be crowned at SummerSlam on August 21st. This will be the main title for the RAW brand now that the WWE Title is on SmackDown with Dean Ambrose.

Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and General Manager Mick Foley announced on tonight's RAW that Fatal 4 Way matches will take place with the winner going on to face #1 Draft pick Seth Rollins at SummerSlam.

The participants are Sami Zayn, Sheamus, Chris Jericho, Cesaro, Roman Reigns, WWE United States Champion Rusev, Kevin Owens and Finn Balor.
