yes most of them are unlocked and you can use any sim in it, i am using micromax 3g dongle which i brought in 2010 till now it gives good signal and working fine..also depends on the network you are using...

I think beetel is good.
you can use any sim in it and no need for connection setting and it connects
automatically.

But for rural area i think reliance or mts or photon is best.

Thanks friend what about Reliance 3G NETCONNECT the same specification,But from ZTE for Rs.1200 and Vodafone 3G dongle for approx.Rs.1100
