I have a Jio number which I haven't recharged for last 2 months. This is basically my primary number. I recieve most calls and OTPs on this number only. So it is important to me. Unfortunately, Jio is not a good operator outside my home. I can barely use it for calling. Leave alone for data purposes. I have been avoiding recharging for it. Can anyone please tell me how long can I avoid recharging as I don't wanna lose my number? I usually recharge once every 90 days for my Airtel to retain the number. How long can same be done Jio?

Solution
Jio has not made clear how long they keep sim cards active without any recharge but they do deactivate numbers. One Jio number of mine is going for more then a year. Since it is your primary number to be on a safe side recharge with cheapest plan in 6 - 8 months.

They do not deactivate sim even after 90 days of non use but good to recharge lowest like ₹98/127/129.. we not have any lower plans in jio

If I am getting incoming calls after crossing 90 days. They can't legally disconnected the number. Right?

I have ₹50 top-up balance.
