They're sharing networks only for roaming sim cards. Will they merge networks for every idea or Vodafone subscribers even in home circles?

Stop spreading fake news. Voda idea latching to each other network even in home circle because they closed either voda or idea tower. Without latching Sim will show no signal.

They alsohave combined spectrum also. That's why I am getting speed up to 60 Mbps on 20 Mhz(10+10 from both companies) band 3. And it's not an empty network voda+idea has largest market share in wb

If it's happening, then it's good news. I can't connect my Idea sim (Home circle) to Vodafone 4G when I select network manually. Another sim which is roaming (Karnataka Circle) is able to connect to Vodafone 4G and has better download speed than Idea network. Anyone can try and test. I don't think they really merged their towers as you can see from the government website tarangsanchar.gov.in the networks attached to a tower can be seen for any location and on a single tower the networks present are listed in which Vodafone and Idea are seperate.

They have close to 2-3 lakh tower so all cannot be merged overnight. They are merging it circle by circle. They have their network integration in 8-9 circles and rest will be merged by Jun 2020 as per company statement. In merged circle there is only one Signal either voda or idea. So both sim latch on that signal only.

In my state the network has been merged too. Now while searching network i only see idea and not Vodafone. The towers that were too close with each other have been removed. The speeds have also increased than before. The one specific good thing is that now consistently im getting ipv6 ip address on idea, where as airtel switches between ipv4 and 6.

void has largest spectrum than both airtel and jio so no wonder why speed improved a lot
