We (Voda fone Ap circle users) have been already using idea signals for Vodafone 4G.

Sometimes In kerala also they are(idea) using the signal of Vodafone...

Sometimes earlier my Vodafone sim shows the name 'idea' while switching to 3G

Suppose, One area not coverable Idea network but Vodafone 2G/3G available. Is there Idea sim will work or not ?(through Vodafone network)

Don't know Bro. But it should work as both companies will use each other assets.

In my area already Vodafone is using Airtel tower for 2g signal. No 3g 4g. till now idea sim is not working for me. Coverage also total idea + Vodafone combined less than airtel.

I think Slowly they will merge all towers. And both sim work as a singletype.But it will take sometime to complete the process.In some areas idea have better coverage but vodafone doesn't and viceversa,after this merger customers will be benefitted with a stronger network everywhere.

Chennai, Idea rocks. Vodafone is pathetic. Combined entity will ditch airtel easily here. Speed is also better in idea compared to all other operators including idea. Hoping this merger will be threat to Jio.

Many areaslike in our village have overlapping 4G transmitter of both Idea and Voda so they will remove duplicate and install those in new areas to expand coverage and use single transmitter to cover both brands
