I have a sightly Different opinion. :k
Highest Runs Scorer does not guarantee good Captain-ship :shy
And Bowlers should also be made captains as they very well know the field Placements

ODI - Kohli
Test - Ashwin
T-20 - Rohit

Ashwin skd in current he is not finishing minimum four overs..Test match there is no limit of overs....

and now test match also change....there is time when century made in 250+ balls....now century made 100+ balls or less..
