Incorrect. These were named in honour of them after their passing not when they were alive. Take Arun Jaitley stadium as a positive example. It wasn't named after him when he was alive. It was called Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium back then.

Indian cricket stadiums named after people during their lifetimes

Brabourne Stadium , Mumbai
Wankhede Stadium , Mumbai
D Y Patil Stadium , Navi Mumbai
M Chinnaswamy Stadium , Bengaluru
M A Chidambaram Stadium , Chennai
Punjab Cricket Association Inderjit Singh Bindra Stadium , Mohali
Narendra Modi Stadium , Ahmedabad

This is hilarious. How so many security people couldn't catch one guy? Imagine how would they do crowd control there. If something went wrong. All hell will break loose. This is the safety precaution at World's Biggest Cricket stadium. Entire security team needs to be sacked.
P.s in eden garden semi final a guy also breach security when australia batting when just 30 min left to match end he was sa supporter but army guys throw him avove iron grill bit him expell him from ground

As far as i understand the main focus of security is screening the people coming inside the stadiums.Yes,this was a security failure but then you can't have a policemen watching over every spectator irrespective of their intent. This is very common in football but normally the footballing authorities are strict on such invading fans.Unfortunately this guy is a Foreigner who came with a predetermined mindset and being a foreigner he will escape the wrath of police.A few days unable to sit on his back would have been nice for him.

Read the above reply of Somnath bro. CRPF easily stopped a guy from entering Eden Gardens. How can guy climb over the barricades so easily? Imagine some 100-200 angry spectators getting in the field to create havoc. PM was in the ground after few hours. We never learn from our mistakes.

It depend where the CRPF guy was and where were the security guy at NM Stadium. And you are absolutely right,if a mob of 500 people are intent on disruption there is little the security could do other than calling additional reinforcements. As for PM,difficult to think that any ****head would be allowed near him by his SPG.If a crowd of lakh runs towards him then it is another issue.
