Telegram said today that it has been hit by "powerful" distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack and users in the United States and other countries may experience connection issues.

They further said that user data is not exposed and things are now stabilized.

Hahaha, I find no reason why one would want to DDOS Telegram (can say the only alive way of secured / private communication to the public at this point).
