Yep. Same point I have, but Rahane will be first choice for SA Test if his form continues in SA also then we can see Rohit in place of Rahane.

Yes..Rahane will be first choice becoz he was in good form earlier when Rohit wasn't available..But If Rohit hits another century then Rohit may be in the squad...

No bro Kohli won't do that because he knows his overseas records & his value for team especially in overseas.

With Indian team management keen on rotation policy to keep the players fit and roaring specially the fast bowlers, I'm sure Kohli is never going play the same XI unless he is forced with no options. Bigger tests await him in the next couple of years. Hope its more sweeter than his first two years with more overseas victories to come.

Rahane should be given 1st preference for SA tests despite of what happens in this remaining matches. Rahane has a similar technique like the Ausies, English and SA batsmen who struggle in low and slow Sub continent tracks while enjoys batting in hard bouncy tracks. He has a proven track record. For me outside sub continent, Rahane is my first choice even ahead of Kohli.

Another failure for Rahane. Select him for the first match against SA and drop if his poor form continues.

India should select Rahane for overseas matches and Rohit for home matches

Agree with you to some extent, but form (which in turn have a Biiig effect on confidence) matters. Till now, Rahane is the no.5 against SA in Virat & Ravi's mind. But another good knock (preferably a three figure mark) will push Rohit's case more. I have a feeling of the playing XI in SA will be:

Shikhar
Pujara
Virat
Rohit
Pandya
Ashwin
Saha
Bhuvi
Shami
Ishant
(Not considered any injury or absence).
