What a tragedy....
App updated in Android TV...My Mi Box 4K..
Now it's almost like mobile app...
Hrighest resolution is 720P..

This is so typical. This is why I avoid updating apps. I updated Zee5. Ever since than free content stop working. Even Discovery+ gives some or other sort of error.

Adding to these finding old version of an app when it's a split apk is a nightmare as well. So don't update unless they force you too. I used old Saavn app for JioSaavn until constant reminder to switch apps got annoying.

I never escape or runaway from updating to new version either it's mobile OS or apps...i am checking for new updates everywhere mannually atleast once in a day...always hoping to get new features in new updates..yeah it may happen like did in Sonyliv but i am not disheartened...i am getting good picture that i can watch without any issues...in next update they will fix it or as Nilesh said it maybe 4k itself..
I don't watch in mobile ..so don't know what happens there in ott apps..so leaving it..i am regularly updating specially Google Play Store in mobile and Netflix for Android TV and FTS from apkmirror site...i am getting new features at the earliest..m
