Facing stiff competition from Chinese and South Korean players, Japanese conglomerate Sony Corporation has announced to quit the Indian smartphone market.

Sony had less than 0.01 percent of the total Indian smartphone market share in the first quarter of 2019, according to Counterpoint Research.

They should tie up with local indian players to increase share as GDP is expected to double in 5-7 yrs

I thought they were already buried deep.
 
They were hardly launching any new model in Indian market from past 2-3 years. Just wait and watch game and finally the exit. so very obvious.
