Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced the launch of a new T20 league that is set to start later in 2018.
The new tournament, called the Lankan Premier League (LPL), is set to run from August 18 to September 10, announced SLC.
"Sri Lanka Cricket is delighted to announce its aspiration to launch a T20 League with the participation of Sri Lankan and International players," said a statement from the board.
