Elementary os is a copy of Mac OS but based on Ubuntu 16 and like Mac OS everything has to be installed from app store so by default you cannot run google chrome by downloading deb file from chrome website. You hv to make some work around to bypass the app store restriction (Just install Gdebi from terminal).

After that you can run deb files by double clicking on it. So remember it.

But Chromium is available in app store .

I am very lazy person
For this reason, a lots of things have been laid out in a desktop screen
