Seeking Help Samsung galaxy A41

Hello. Just been bought a Samsung A41 after having a Huawei P20 Lite which I found so easy to use. When using Whatsapp on the samsung if I have a message it doesnt make a sound when the lock screen is on. Tried all sorts of things to remedy this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
