I recently got the new Airfiber connection along with IPTV and here is my experience.
Easy setup: The technicians set it up in just 30min and the process was smooth no complicated installation like drawing up wire as I was getting very good speed inside my office cabin or waiting for approval from society and its hassle free and can be taken even if you are single user whereas the company was reluctant in fiber case to provide connection for single user unless you if you guarantee them of more connections if fiber is not available in your area or society.
No dish or Lnb maintenance: unlike DTH service there's no maintenance of satellite dishes or LNBs. The iptv work Directly on the airtel network(even on 4g) so there's no need for physical wiring which make it more convenient for me.
Portable and flexible: one of the best features is the portability, since it run on the airtel network, I can easily take it with me if travel to my native place or even on an outing as long as I have airtel network I can setup my personal tv along with a pocket projector to enjoy a match or movie anywhere.
Affordable plan: with the advance rental of RS:2500, I got 3 month of internet at 40mbps, plus upto Rs:350 worth of free channels. These cover all the important channels I need. If I want more channels, i can easily add them a la carte.
Overall, Airtel Airfiber with IPTV has been a great experience till now.
As I have taken the Airfiber connection along with iptv and also I own Airtel fiber connection so I want to give my perspective on it and also compare it's pros and cons so let's dive into each service to understand it's need.
Airtel offer multiple internet connection and entertainment solutions in India, and two popular option are Airtel Airfiber (with IPTV) and Airtel fiber+DTH.
Pros of Airtel Airfiber with IPTV:
1) It's easy to setup and doesn't require complex wiring, making it ideal for those who has issue with permission from society and airfiber easily available wherever 5g network available. soon iptv also pan India.
2) High speed internet from 40mbps till 300 mbps available initially as per website which ensure smooth browsing, 4k steaming, and online gaming.
3) Seamless IPTV experience as the service includes a wide range of TV channel, including HD and exclusive airtel special channel
4) Advance feature you can access a range of feature like voice commands and integration with ott platform like netflix and Amazon prime and jiohotstar and other popular ott also you can add third party app as it's support google playstore.
5) No need for Iptv physical setup as it's wire-free since it's an plug and play device, it can be easily moved around and doesn't require an extensive setup process like DTH but remember it's lock with Airtel Network only.
Cons of Airtel Airfiber with IPTV:
1) Right now Limited availability as it's available in select City so right now it's not the option in rural area or small town but as forum member said that it will be available soon pan India by March.
2) Data caps on plan you may face data limit as it's cap 1TB per month so which can be restrictive for heavy user as IPTV too consume data (not sure) as on airtel app can't see data consume chart or usage.
3)Price as Airfiber can be on the pricier side compare to traditional broadband and DTH specially due to Airber lock with Black plan and channel available on a la carte and non available of broadcaster pack.
4) Connectivity can be issue as signal in low coverage area can face interference affecting the quality of both internet and IPTV service if you are iptv box setup is far from router or in area with poor coverage.

1) Reliable and stable connection as fiber connection are less prone to interference offering reliable and stable connection.
2) Higher data limit and high speed as most fiber plan come with high caps or unlimited data usage making it ideal for heavy users and also user can select the speed depand on their requirements as many plan available compare to airfiber.
3) Excellent HD and 4k Tv quality via DTH as it's offer high quality TV with no buffering unlike iptv which depand on internet connection speed and also availability of 4k channel as quality of HD channel is almost identical compare with iptv but I see SD channel very much pixelated on IPTV so waiting for other member to compare it.
4) wide coverage as fiber service are available in many area accross most urban and suburban residential if their is no issue of permission from society or local body issue.
5) variety of channel packages as DTH offer wide range of TV channel which can be customised based on requirements and a la carte which is missing in IPTV including Broadcaster package and also 4k channel option.

3) weather dependent TV quality as DTH quality can be degrade during extreme weather conditions like heavy rain or stroms.
Conclusion: Airtel Airfiber with iptv is perfect for tech-savvy user who want wireless and TV viewing experience it's flexible and high speed internet make ideal for those looking for modern entertainment solutions specially people on rent or keep shifting place due to job whereas airtel fiber + DTH offer more reliable as it's available from long time and proven technology and traditional tv viewing experience with fiber optics and satellite TV it's great for those who value stable internet speed alots of customised TV package for better tv viewing experience.
