Good News Booked a new Airtel Xstream Air Fiber Connection

Generally doesn't take up much time. I'd suggest call up your installation guy, specifically the one who showed you the demo speeds on their smartphone and ask right away coz you are end user. Due to all this fiasco I will never ever go for airfiber.
Its not related to fiber or airfiber, just that the installation guys have not notified about the installation to backend team, and hence its delayed.

Calling Airtel CC is waste as they dont even help

Like this is such mistreatment. Escalate it with immediate effect. There are email of nodal Airtel officers. Also when feedback calls will be coming do let them know of this. Once my Tata connection had a similar mismanagement, when I told in feedback , that guy got monetary penalty.

Can you pls share the email ID / Contact number ?

Update:

Recieved the Activation SMS and Login Credentials.

Will have to configure the router at a later stage.

Looks like SSID and Password is issued by Airtel Backend Team remotely.

Didnt see this for Jio Fiber though, as it was generated locally by the router itself.

Looks like both Airtel Store and Nodal is closed on Sundays.

I have no option but to wait in this case.
Actually, according to my experience, Airtel Appellate team never turns back and useless similar to their customer care. I don't know whether they never read the mails or read but choose to ignore. I don't know if this problem is limited to my state/region or across India, but such similar experiences I have also read on other places.

On the other hand, with Jio Appellate one gets assured calls or mails revert within the mentioned time period.

JioFiber/AirFiber takes maximum 10 minutes to activate (and the router indicator turns green) after the installer initiates activation process using their app.

Main reason is Jio is ahead in technology compared to Airtel. Furthermore, Airtel has bugs in their system so some users get odd issues.

Thanks for the clarity, i guess your reply gave me important insights to both these ISPs.

Team note: Separate thread was opened for other questions.

Shifting from BSNL to Airtel or Jio AirFiber as their optical fiber unavailable. Which one is more reliable?
